Another idea for a standard sized -say- snack box: use it for freezing liquids (soups, broth) and shapable stuff like rice. Use a freezer bag (whatever) to line the box, fill completely and freeze. Once frozen, pull out of the box. You'll have little bricks of frozen food that stack easily, especially if you consistently use the same sized box.
And as said before, the liners are great for all sorts of things, even as a sandwich bag.

Very creative. I remember doing this type of "craft" a lot as a kid in a developing country. I guess I grew out of it.

I've reused 1 gallon milk jugs for fertilizer spreading/holding (drilled holes in the bottom). Same thing with Parmesan cheese containers. Good idea.

Nice work, Mad Hatter :)

Our society is so wasteful, it honestly never even occurred to me that cardboard cartons might have uses other than simply lugging things around!

Good ideas! For those who eat cold cereal, the plastic liners are great for food storage and also for pounding foods, including chicken breast, making cracker crumbs, etc. because they are tougher than your average plastic bag. I always keep a stash!
